My name is Marilyn Pemberton and I teach the first grade. I was born in Marshall, Mo. I graduated from SHS and went to Airline School and became a reservationists. I married John Pemberton who also grew up in Slater and graduated from SHS. We have three children Aaron, Adam, and Amiee who also went to school and graduated from SHS. Amiee lives in Slater with her husband and two sons. Adam also lives in Slater. Aaron lives in Odessa, Mo. with his wife and son. My husband works for the Gateway Western railroad. We have a dog names Bailey; she is a big chocolate lab. I received my degree from Missouri Valley College. I have a BS in education and I have taught for 18 years in Slater. I enjoy living and teaching in Slater. It is truly a great place to live, work, and raise a family. In my spare time i enjoy camping with my family, but my favorite thing is spending time with my three grandsons Griffin, Gavin, and Gannin.
