Text Box:       My name is Gary Schaefer. I was born on October 10, 1964 in Boonville, MO.  I am married to Diana Schaefer who teaches fifth at Slater also. I have a daughter, Savannah, who is a sophomore at Glasgow High School, a four year old son, Lucas and a stepdaughter, Christian who is twelve. I have a BSE from  University of Central Missouri in Industrial Arts and Technology and a Masters Degree in Secondary Administration from William Woods University. I have now been teaching for eighteen years. I taught two years at Leeton, one year at Clark County R-1, one year at Newburg, and one year at Higbee. I have been teaching at Slater since November 1995 and it has been an awesome experience!  My favorite thing to do that is related to my job is woodworking, Some other activities I enjoy are hunting, fishing, looking for Native American artifacts, and riding my Harley. I also enjoy spending time with my children and making sure they are as spoiled as possible!
