My name is John McEachern, I was born in Longview, Texas and raised in Marshall, Texas. I received a Bachelor Degree from East Texas Baptist University, a Masters Degree from Texas A&M-Commerce, and a Post Graduate Superintendent from Texas A&M-Commerce.

This is my 22nd year in education.  Twenty of those years were in Texas. I taught math and directed discipline programs for 15 years, an Assistant High School Principal for 2 years, and an Alternative School Principal for 3 years. This is my 2nd year here at Slater.

My wife, Shelly, and I have been married for 16 years. We have two children; Kaylee who is 13 and Braiden who is 8. We also have a golden retriever named Champ. I enjoy hunting, fishing, golf, spending time with friends and family and woodworking.
