I am beginning my 3rd year on the Slater School Board. During the past two years serving on the board I have learned a great deal about the way a School Board functions and the amount of effort it takes to operate a School District. I have a huge amount of respect for our past and present board members.

My husband and I are both graduates of Slater High School. We have two children, Kody and Abby. Kody is in the Fourth Grade and Abby is in Kindergarten. I think it is so important to be involved in my children's education and activities therefore I enjoy being a part of the decision making process that will influence their education and activities now and in the future.

The Slater School District has a wonderful staff with quality teachers and I want each student to receive the best education possible. I would like to see higher test scores, and continued improvements of our campus.

My advice to the students at Slater is to stay true to yourself. This is just one of many stepping stones in your life so work hard and enjoy.
