Robbie Newman has served on the Slater School Board for 4 years. Robbie says the most enjoyable part of being on the School Board is, "The satisfaction I feel upon seeing our students grow, academically, athletically, and socially, all of these steps are very important in becoming a well-educated young adult. I enjoy being a part of this success."

Robbie and his wife Stephanie are both graduates of Slater High School. Together they have 2 daughters, Amanda and Allison. Amanda is 7 and is a second grader at Slater, Allison is almost 3 and will soon begin preschool at Slater as well. Robbie says that his children and the students of the community are the biggest influence, as I want them to be well educated and enjoy the benefits of going through a safe and supportive school system where they can excel in any of the programs they choose.

For the future of Slater, Robbie would like to continue to provide a quality education in a safe and supportive environment, continue to upgrade and improve curriculum , and continue to maintain and improve our facilities.

Robbie leaves these words of wisdom to the students of Slater, "Education will be the key to many of your successes in life, try to make the most of it and enjoy your time in the Slater Public School System. See you at GRADUATION!"
